History

Boost Switch Pedals was founded in 2005 by Andy Lovering, an Electronics Engineering graduate and gigging musician with a thirty year obsession with tinkering with guitars; amplifiers and effects. The first pedal, The Original!, was conceived when Andy's rhythm guitarist needed a simple pedal to boost his guitar at gigs. Requiring huge boost and no distortion, Andy built this device and found it to be so useful he built two more, one for himself and one for Ebay! This sold, so three more were built with the proceeds and these sold as well, starting the Boost Switch company. Not sure what to call it; with a boost knob and footswitch on the front, it was imaginatively called Boost Switch!

Now Boost Switch Pedals offer a range of classic no frills effects pedals. Exceptional detail is paid to ensure each pedal looks good; functions impeccably and is reliable. The treble boosters; fuzz face and overdrive pedals are classic reproductions, recreating classic tones using only original transistors such as Mullard OC44 and AC128. The valve overdrive pedal is unique sounding and instantly identifiable with classic vintage overdrive that inspires great playing.
